Past ArtWorks Cymru Programs

ArtWorks Cymru was originally a pathfinder in the Paul Hamlyn Foundation Special Initiative ArtWorks which focused on developing arts practice in participatory settings and ran five pathfinders across the UK. The ArtWorks Special Initiative ran from 2011 – 2014 and undertook action research exploring questions around skills, training, quality and practice. https://www.phf.org.uk/programmes/artworks/

From 2015 – 2017 ArtWorks Cymru ran a further program of work in Wales exploring participatory arts practice in different contexts, innovative practice and partnerships, and running a conference to bring the sector together. https://artworks.cymru/

During this program, ArtWorks Cymru also worked with Arts Council Wales to develop the ArtWorks Cymru Quality Principles to help drive better conversations about quality in participatory settings in Wales. https://artworks.cymru/quality-principles
