Observing Practice Framework

The Observing Practice Framework was originally developed through a Strategic Insight collaboration between the National Centre for Ceramic Studies at Cardiff School of Art and Design, and ArtWorks Cymru Partners. The Framework was developed by Dr Natasha Mayo and Melaniea Warwick and informed by research undertaken by students.

It was developed to help students reflect upon structures and approaches in participatory arts delivery.

The project was further developed through a Practice Exchange project between Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and Making Music Changing Lives. Ceri Tippetts and James Brookmyre led students and MMCL staff through a reflective process using the framework, and developed a good practice guide for using the framework in a music context.
